The Cannes Tourism Board will be adopting 3 different strategies to promote Cannes, France as a tourist spot in the Indian market. The tourism board that is aiming to tap the segments like MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), honeymoon, trade fairs from India is looking at promoting the city through the Cannes Film Festival, exhibitions, FAM (familiarization) trips, workshops, sales calls, road shows; intensive media coverage .
Bertnard Salama, Director – Marketing and Commercial, Palais des Festivals et des Congres, Cannes said, “So far the city has received close to 5,000 Indian tourists and we are looking at increasing this number in the coming years.”
