
Kasauli
The place is ideally located amidst the tranquil hills of Himalayan range of mountains. The hill station, located at the altitude of 1928 meters, attracts a large number of tourists every year. Forests of chir-pine, Himalayan oak and huge horse chestnuts encircle Kasauli. Major tourist spots in the hill resort are Monkey Point, Sanawar, and Dharampur. The place is ideal tourist destination during the months of April to September, when climate is salubrious and romantic.
Shimla
Located at an altitude of 2,159 meters above sea level, Shimla once served as the summer capital of British Raj. Solan
Located at the altitude of 1445 meters, Solan is called Mashroom City, mainly for it being the major producer of the mushroom in country. This small, but beautiful city was named after the local goddess Shoolini Devi. The place gets heavy snowfall during winters and tourists who want to see and experience snowfall visit every year. The place houses Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry at Nauni. It has many tourist attractions, including Shoolini Mata Temple and Yungdrung Tibetan Monastery.
