Summer
Summers are hot as mercury rises up to 46 ºC. While traveling to Nalanda during summer, you should carry very light cotton clothes and drink lots of water.
Monsoon
During the Monsoon season the whole of North India receives huge rainfall. Since heavy rain may cause floods, it is advisable to avoid traveling to Nalanda during Monsoons. The place gets average rainfall of 120 mm.
Winters
Winters are cool and pleasant and the perfect time to explore Nalanda. The maximum temperature during winters is 27 ºC and can get down to 4 ºC. You are recommended to bring light woolen clothes.
