Meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions sector, commonly known as MICE sector in the travel industry, is all set to see a big transformation in the country. The reason is Vienna Tourist Board, which has decided to promote MICE sector in India, at a large scale. So, now the sector is all set to see changes in coming time. All this information was disclosed by Norbert Kettner, Managing Director - Vienna Tourist Board.
In a recently held meeting in Delhi, Vienna Tourist Board officials talked with the officials of Indian Travel Trade and showed their keenness in promoting the MICE sector in country. Mr. Kettener said that they had been organizing a series of International congress in Vienna and the time was perfect to do the same in India as well. He believes that Vienna is among the world class MICE destinations.
Mr. Kettener also mentioned that in addition to promoting MICE sector, the board had decided to project Vienna as a leisure destination for the growing middle class of India. He reiterated that visitors to Vienna would be offered world class tourist facilities and products.
