Thai Airways International will resume its direct flights from Bangkok to Johannesburg, South Africa from June 2. The airline will operate 4 flights per week on the Bangkok-Johannesburg route, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Boeing 777-200ER aircraft will be used by the carrier to operate the route. It will have with 292 seats - 30 in Royal Silk Class and 262 in Economy Class.
Flight TG703 will depart Bangkok at 01:15 am and arrive in Johannesburg at 07:30 am the same day. The return flight, TG704 will depart Johannesburg at 13:40 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 05:55 am the next day.
On the onset of its inaugural flights, the airline is offering special promotional fares for travel to Johannesburg in Royal Silk Class and Economy Class, as well as special deals for passengers travelling in groups in Royal Silk Class. Royal Orchid Plus members travelling roundtrip to Johannesburg will also be able to earn bonus miles. Economy Class fares departing from Bangkok start from THB 21,500 (excluding airport tax and other surcharges), and without any mileage accumulation.
