Tune Hotels has joined hands with Singapore-based Plato Capital Ltd in order to develop and operate Tune Hotels throughout key countries in South-East Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom. Tune hotels along with Plato intend to have a portfolio of up to 10 operational hotels by 2013.
“We have already identified attractive properties in the areas that we intend to focus on that may be acquired by the joint venture and are actively exploring other opportunities,” said Tune Hotels' chief executive officer Mark Lankester.
Tune Hotels had launched its first hotel in 2007 in Kuala Lumpur and has since expanded its portfolio to nine hotels across Malaysia and Indonesia. The hotels that they are currently operating are Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, KLIA-LCCT Airport, Penang, Danga Bay, Johor and Kota Damansara, Selangor in Malaysia; Kuta (Bali) and Double Six, Legian (Bali) in Indonesia; and Westminster, London, opening in August 2010. – Bernama.
