Surat: Luan Airways is set to introduce Surat-Bhavnagar-Rajkot-Delhi flight from August 15.
The Guwahati based Luan Airways is set to introduce Surat-Bhavnagar-Rajkot-Delhi flight from August 15. This new flight will be in addition to Indian’s existing Surat-Delhi-Surat daily flight.
A 50-seater aircraft will be used for the flight and it will take-off from Surat at 7.00 am and 10 am it will land at Delhi via Bhavnagar and Rajkot. The same flight will leave from Delhi at 6.30 in the evening and reach Surat at 9.00 pm.
The plane will be parked at Surat airport during night.
A senior official said, “We are awaiting a green signal from the Airport Authority of India for starting the flight service from from Surat. Most formalities such as acquiring the aircraft have been completed.”
Speaking about launching of new flights, Verma, Surat Airport Controller, said, “the proposals for introducing new flights connecting Surat with other key cities are under consideration and soon we will launch more flights in the near future.” CP Vanani, Surat Diamond Association President welcomed the move and commented the flight will enhance the trade between Bhavnagar and Rajkot with Surat.
