Hong Kong-based hotel chain, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has signed an agreement with Pallazzio Hotel and Leisure Limited to run the Shangri-La Hotel, Mumbai which will be launched in September 2010. The hotel designed by Mumbai-based Shekhar Patki, will have 230 guest rooms initially, but once fully operational, it will have 483 guestrooms and 23 serviced apartments. There will be world-class amenities like a chain of specialty restaurants, an all-day café and a bar, a health club, spa, swimming pool, business centre, ballroom, conference and meeting room facilities.

The company has its hotels in Delhi known as Shangri-La’s - Eros Hotel, New Delhi and the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangalore. Besides, Palm Retreat Shangri-La, Bangalore will debut in 2011.
