Karnataka Tourism Department’s eco-tourism unit, Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR) that currently operates 12 properties across the state has planned to build 7 more resorts. The new resorts in Karnataka that will be ready within the span of next 2 years will be built at a total cost of Rs. 30 crore. The Centre has sanctioned Rs. 24 crore for the project and the remaining cost will be handled by the state government.
Jungle Lodges and Resorts Limited, engaged in promoting eco-tourism, wildlife tourism and adventure tourism offers various wildlife viewing and outdoor activities like Jeep safaris, elephant rides, boat and coracle rides, white-water rafting, canoe tours, elephant interactions and many more.
