The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government will soon built the state’s first ropeway at Trikone (Vindhyachal-Ashtabhuja-Kali Khoh) in Mirzapur district after getting a green signal from Ministry of Tourism (MoT) for the proposal. The state tourism officials have already started the process of appointing a consultancy company to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to be submitted to the MoT.
The 2.5 kms long ropeway project that will be developed in a year or 2 is estimated to be built at a total cost of Rs 25 crore. The Uttar Pradesh tourism department believes that the new ropeway at Mirzapur is expected to increase the flow of tourist arrivals and draw domestic tourists towards scenic locations like Trikone, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort and others.
