Karnataka tourism authorities is all set to introduce special flight packages for Dasara festival which is set to kick start 28th September. The new concessional packages are bound to attract more number of tourists to Karnataka and would be all inclusive of food, transportation and accommodation.
“I have directed the State Tourism Corporation to look into whether we can offer special concessional packages to tourists from cities other than Bangalore,” said Karnataka Government’s Principal Secretary (Tourism), K. Jothiramalingam.
The state tourism that had previously introduced similar such packages from Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore in January during the Hampi festival was a huge success.
Besides Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, Pune is one of the stations from Maharashtra that the State Tourism authorities are planning to offer special flight packages for the Mysore Dasara festival. “Since only ATRs can be operated in and out of the Mysore Airport, we may also look at operating these charter services from Pune,” Jyothirlingam added.
Karnataka filled with significant tourism spots like Aihole, Badami, Mysore, Hampi among others has been witnessing a huge influx of both domestic and international travelers lately. Meanwhile, a master plan for the development of tourism in the state has been drafted by Karnataka tourism department which is expected to give a major boost to the tourism sector once implemented.
