ITC-Welcomgroup that runs five star luxury business hotels in India has signed an exclusive contract with Starwood Hotels & Resorts to bring the latter’s premium brand- ‘Luxury Collection’ to India. As per the deal, the 7 hotels that will be part of the new brand, ITC-Luxury Collection includes ITC Maurya in Delhi, ITC Maratha in Mumbai, ITC Sonar in Kolkata, ITC Grand Central in Mumbai, ITC Windsor in Bengaluru, ITC Kakatiya in Hyderabad and ITC Mughal in Agra.
The 7 new luxury hotels targeting mainly the high-end travellers will be managed and owned by ITC, while its marketing and distribution abroad will be handled by Starwood Hotels & Resorts that has over 850 properties across the world.
