Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul will soon get an underwater seven-star hotel. The seven –storey hotel built on the ruins of a historical 1930’s tobacco factory in the city center will have exhibition halls and restaurants with all rooms facing the sea.
The hotel which is yet to be named is completely waterproof and being developed by Tanriverdi Holding, Turkey’s textile manufacturing company at an estimated cost of $500 million. Though this isn’t the first such underwater hotel complex in the world, the Istanbul hotel should make for an interesting experience for it is being built under the city center.
