Indian air carrier Jet Airways has decided to start daily flights between Riyadh and Mumbai, from October 25, 2009. In its second major expansion on the Saudi Arabia-India sector, Jet will offer the service of Boeing 737-800 to its passengers. Afzal Azam Baig, General Manager for Jet Airways (Saudi Arabia), said that Jet Airways would leave Mumbai for Riyadh at 7:30 p.m. and land there at 9:15 p.m. The same plane would leave for Mumbai at 10:15 p.m. and arrive in Mumbai at 4:20 a.m.
Mr Baig also said that in a very short period of time, Jet Airways had established itself as a reliable brand on the India-Gulf sector, because of the warmth in its service and quality of its in-flight product. He added that the new service would offer passengers seamless connectivity and world class products on the Indo-gulf sector. At present, besides daily flights between Jeddah and Mumbai, Jet is flying to eight destinations in the Gulf, which include Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Jeddah, Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The airline currently manages a fleet of 87 aircrafts, which includes 10 Boeing 777-300 ERs.
