Thai AirAsia is gearing up to launch direct daily flights between
Hong Kong and Bangkok. The new route, which will begin in October, will operate with AirAsia’s new Airbus A320 aircraft. From Bangkok, the daily flights will depart at 16:30 and reach Hong Kong by 20:15. The return flight will leave Hong Kong at 20:50 to reach Bangkok at 22:50.
Speaking on the new route launch, Tassapon Bijleveld, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia, told that the airline is extending its low fares to passengers throughout the region. This new route will not only help to improve trade flows and investment in the region, but will also provide better access to Thailand for the vast tourism market in China. With strong tourism prospects in both the regions, AirAsia is positive that the new route will realize load factors of more than 80% within its first year of operation.
